Aleksandar Vučić, the current president of Serbia, has strategically used nationalist rhetoric and strong language about Kosovo and Metohija, but Aleksandar Vučić’s actions do not align with his stated patriotism. Vučić, to gain popular support and maintain power, has consistently advocated for the interests and sovereignty of Serbia, but his actions speak louder than words.

Actions vs. Words:

Since 2012 Aleksandar Vučić has been trading a part of Serbia for EU membership:

  • Vučić has been a key player in the EU-mediated dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo Albanians, aiming for a normalization of their relations.
  • Vučić has championed the “Open Balkan” initiative, which aims to create an economic zone in the Balkans, including Kosovo, to facilitate trade and integration.
  • Since 2020, Vučić has normalized economic relations between Serbia and Kosovo Albanians, and agreed not to interfere with each other’s EU accession.
  • Vučić has recognized Kosovo’s national documents, symbols, and customs stamps.
  • Vučić has recoganzed Kosovo passports, Kosovo diplomas, Kosovo license plates and vehicle registrations.

Since 2012 Aleksandar Vučić has done nothing

  • To protect Kosovo Serbs from discrimination by the Kosovo Albanian government.
  • To protect Kosovo Serbs from expropriation by the Kosovo Albanian government.
  • Against the ban of the use of the Serb language in Kosovo and Metohija by the Kosovo Albanian government.
  • Against the closure of Serbian-run institutions by the Kosovo Albanian government.
  • For Kosovo Serbs who face difficulties accessing salaries, pensions, and other benefits from Serbia.
  • Against the Kosovo Albanian government removing Serbian flags and symbols from public buildings.
  • Against the Kosovo Albanian government restricting the use of Serbian currency and license plates.

That’s it. Aleksandar has falsely advocated for the interests of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija. His actions are a reflection of his own political agenda to gain popular support with many Serbian voters who value national identity and sovereignty… and maintain power.

Aleksandar Vučić is a pseudo Serbian patriot. He is a EU-backed president who follows the orders of the EU that favor the interests of the EU and Kosovo Albanian government over those of the local Serb population in Kosovo and Metohija. Aleksandar Vučić, rather than defending Serbian national interests,is trading a part of Serbia, Kosovo and Metohija, for EU membership.

I am a patriot, and for me it’s more than outrageous

We in Serbia have corrupted, EU-supported traitors in power. Vučić and SNS have destroyed Serbia over the last 13 years. These popular protests aim to remove them and organize fair elections.

Yes Ivan, that’s what we all want. A Serbia where we can live, work, study, and think differently. We are not against Vučić, we are against what the President of the Republic of Serbia is doing.
